Starting this  morning, motorists will see changes to traffic 
patterns on Interstate 65 across the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge, as
 crews finish concrete paving  on the southbound lanes, according to 
state highway officials.
Traffic will be 
switched to one lane for northbound I-65 traffic  and two lanes for 
southbound vehicles  from 5 a.m. today  through July 13.
Traffic
 had been  restricted to one southbound lane  and two northbound lanes. 
 But on Wednesday night, crews were to  move the barrier walls to begin 
repairs on the northbound lanes.
The exit ramps from southbound I-65  to I-64 East/I-71 North and I-64 West were  scheduled to reopen Wednesday evening.
During
 the overnight hours, crews were to  close the ramps from I-64 West and 
I-71 South to I-65 North, and the I-65 North exit ramp to Jeffersonville
 (Exit 0). These ramps will be closed  through July 13.
Motorists traveling
 on I-64 West and I-71 South should follow the signed detour via I-64 
West into Southern Indiana to I-265 East and then access I-65 North.
The
 exit ramps from I-65 North to I-64 East/I-71 North and I-64 West are 
closed through 5 a.m. Monday.  Motorists should follow the signed detour
 via I-264 (Watterson Expressway).
The following ramps continue to be closed for the duration of the project:
•  The exit ramp from I-64 East to I-65 North in Kentucky.
•  The exit ramp from I-65 South to Market Street in Indiana.
•  The entrance ramp from Court Avenue to I-65 South in Indiana.
Vehicles wider than 9 feet are restricted from traveling through the work zone.
The
 construction is being done by MAC Construction and Excavating at a cost
 of $18.2 million. All work is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 15. The
 schedule  is subject to change in the event of inclement weather or 
other unforeseeable delays.
