The Floyd County communities of Greenville and Floyds Knobs are being
asked to stop watering lawns, washing cars, filling swimming pools and
any other non-essential uses of water until further notice.

the Floyds Knobs Water Company and the Greenville Water Utility issued
the requests Thursday for voluntary conservation in light of continuing
dry and hot conditions.
The identical statements say “If the water demand does not decrease we will be forced to initiate a mandatory conservation.”
